Why am I seeing a spinning circle?

If you are getting a general spinning indicator or similar (depending on your phone or device it could be a star pattern, a clock or something indicating 'activity') this typically means the app is taking time to get more information. It could indicate that there is something wrong with your internet connection (either your speeds are too slow, you’ve run out of mobile data or you are in a low coverage area).

If your internet connection is running well but the mobile app is not, please contact feedback@supergold.govt.nz and let us know.

Why am I getting a bouncing gold coin on screen?

If you see a bouncing Gold coin, it means that the app is trying to get more information. The issue could be that your internet connection is preventing the app from working, or the SuperGold service is unavailable.

If your internet connection is running well but the mobile app is not, please contact feedback@supergold.govt.nz and let us know.

How much data does the mobile app use?

When you use the app, the amount of data needed will vary depending on your usage.

Why do some offers do not appear on the map?

Some of the SuperGold businesses we work with do not have physical premises, so at this stage we can’t display them on the map. Also, in some cases offers and discounts may have been restricted where their services are available. Eg Online-only orders, or tradespeople like electricians and plumbers who come to you.

Does your app support larger text screen?

The SuperGold mobile app will adapt to the screen size settings for your device. You can use device and brand specific features to assist with viewing (eg 3-finger tap for Apple screen Zoom).

  2. Your app store account is not registered in the Australia or New Zealand store. Apple requires its customers to choose a country for their store to be connected to.
